NSW Minister for Finance and Services Dominic Perrottet says facility is “a key step” in state's digital future
New South Wales Minister for Finance and Services, Dominic Perrottet, officially launched the second stage of Metronode’s Silverwater data centre today.
The Silverwater data centre is being used by the NSW government as part of its Data Centre Reform Strategy. Under the strategy, NSW agencies will be required to move from 130 existing decentralised government data centres into two Tier III whole-of-government purpose built facilities at Silverwater and Unanderra by 31 December 2015.
