WebEx Communications chooses Recognition PR for Australian public relations services

Melbourne – 26 February 2004 – Recognition PR's Melbourne team announces its newest client, WebEx Communications. WebEx partners with Telstra Corporation to provide online meeting and Web conferencing services to more than 500 Australian customers including Lifeline, InMatrix, Greentree, KarelCAD, Comlabs and BCC. Worldwide, WebEx has more than 7,000 corporate customers and agreements with the world's largest telecommunications companies.

"We are excited to be working with Recognition to increase our profile and exposure in this market," said Kevin Mackin, managing director, WebEx Australia. "We chose Recognition because of its excellent cultural fit and clear understanding of the marketplace and of what we want to achieve." Companies are opting for frequent online meetings to keep geographically separated teams active and engaged, over expensive business travel merely for the sake of face-to-face meetings. WebEx saves companies money through real time communication between any number of participants, anywhere in the world.

"WebEx's offering provides clear business benefits to companies, and all you need to use it is a Web browser and Internet connection," said Samantha Lenton, Recognition's account manager for WebEx. "WebEx's Australian PR campaign will focus on raising awareness for the service — which brings interactivity to online meetings between employees, customers and partners — and educating the market about WebEx's functionality and ease of use."
