NETGEAR launches next generation wireless home networking solution
Sydney, Australia (May 20, 2004) – NETGEAR (Nasdaq: NTGR), a leading provider of easy-to-use, high-performance networking products, has launched its eagerly anticipated Wireless Media Router that allows users to back up, share and access their files wirelessly and remotely.
NETGEAR’s WGT634U 108 Mbps Wireless Firewall Router provides users with convenient access to their files wherever they go. By attaching an external USB drive or memory stick to the WGT634U, users can store all of their MP3s, photos, documents, videos and other PC or Internet files. Allowing users to store and stream large amounts of audio and video content, the WGT634U offers:
- 10 times the speed and four times the range of 802.11b when used with NETGEAR’s WG511T 108 Mbps Wireless PC Card or WG311T 108 Mbps Wireless PCI Adapter; - Smart Wizard installation assistant for easy set-up; - Support for both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0; - Over 10 security and privacy features including double firewall (NAT + SPI); - Multi-VPN tunnels (pass-through) for secure simultaneous Internet connections. NETGEAR’s WGT634U 108 Mbps Wireless Firewall Router is available throughout Australia from NETGEAR’s value-added resellers at the RRP $349 inc. GST. This product comes with NETGEAR’s standard three-year warranty, with increased technical support also available with NETGEAR's advanced warranty.
