Canon adds Equitrac to its document accounting solutions portfolio
Canon's document accounting solutions now enable professional firms and other organisations to automatically account for and manage every page that's printed, faxed or scanned
Sydney, 21 September 2004 -- Canon Australia is now an official reseller and partner with Equitrac in Australia. The partnership enables Canon to offer a comprehensive, centralised document accounting solution that monitors, measures and manages print, copy, fax and scan activity on networked devices.
"Adding Equitrac to our document accounting solutions portfolio compliments Canon's own NetSpot Accountant package for Canon-only environments. With Equitrac we can now provide equally good document accounting solutions for mixed-vendor environments," said Peter Matthews, Market Segment Manager -- Software, Services & Solutions, Canon Australia.
The new Equitrac Office suite helps business managers increase productivity, control and reduce costs, and intelligently manage assets and resources. It does this through increased document security, minimising waste and controlling the use of office equipment.
Equitrac Office provides a flexible yet simple user interface and allows the systems administrator to configure system-wide charging models for all network printing and copying across their Canon or mixed-fleet environment.
It also offers a set of specialised tools that differentiate it from other document accounting solutions on the market. Its features include the enterprise up-link module that links information from remote locations to one centralised collection and reporting point.
What's more, Equitrac Office software can be directly loaded onto Canon multifunction devices, eliminating the need for external page-counting hardware.
The Equitrac Office document accounting solution forms part of Canon's complete business imaging solutions model for faster and more secure information handling.
Incorporating seven categories of software applications that encompass every aspect of an organisation's information workflow, Canon business imaging solutions combine advanced hardware and software, together with the expertise and experience, to create and implement solutions tailored to an organisation's needs.
"Our business imaging solutions consultants can provide an individual application to improve a particular process, or design a complete customised solution to suit an organisation exactly," said Peter Matthews. "With our unique combination of hardware, software and support skills, we can provide a solution in the true sense of the word."
