PR Deadlines to represent NGINX in ANZ
The partnership comes as NGINX makes a concerted push into the ANZ market, having recently expanded the local executive team and opened an office in Sydney. NGINX is headed globally by Australian native, CEO Gus Robertson, who moved from Red Hat in 2012. NGINX also has deep roots in Australia, with Telstra Ventures a major investor.
The regional team is led by Head of APAC, Norbert Kiss, who has led US and European companies successfully through expansions into the Asia Pacific region for more than 20 years. Recently NGINX announced the hire of experienced leader Anthony Leverington as Country Manager ANZ. He has held key roles in companies including Amazon Web Services and VMware.
PR Deadlines has a long history of working with technology companies in ANZ, and is well-placed to help consolidate NGINX’s local presence.
“This contract comes at an interesting time for us and NGINX, as the company looks to continue its expansion into ANZ. Anecdotally, the local team have remarked on how advanced the local market is, and how enterprise across ANZ seems to be at the forefront of adopting micro-services and scaling web assets as part of their modernisation journey,” said Luke Frost, Director at PR Deadlines. “Our experience in areas such as the app economy, virtual computing, load balancing and big data should make this a fascinating and rewarding collaboration.”
“NGINX is at a very interesting point in our development. Due to our open-source history, DevOps people often view us as rockstars of the IT industry, but we’re looking to broaden our positioning globally, to those enterprises looking to modernise their most important consumer assets such as websites and applications.
“We’re growing rapidly and to reinforce our commitment to the region, we chose to work with PR Deadlines due to their expertise as journalists and deep roots in this market,” said Jesica Church, Director, Brand and Marketing Communications at NGINX, Inc.
