ORIONVM NAMED AS STATE MERIT RECIPIENT AND NATIONAL FINALIST IN 2015 iAWARDS
Sydney, Australia – July 16, 2015 – OrionVM®, a leading provider of wholesale Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and next-gen cloud technology, was named as a state merit recipient and national finalist in the Applications, Tools & Platforms category of the 2015 iAwards, Australia’s premier technology innovation awards program for the ICT industry.
The iAwards for the New South Wales (NSW) State territory were presented at an exclusive cocktail reception on July 7, 2015. These awards honour the best and most innovative solutions in each state or territory. There was healthy competition this year, with just over 60 nominations submitted across all categories. The successful winners and merit recipients will go on to compete at the national iAwards on 25-27 August, in Melbourne.
OrionVM delivers an end-to-end premium cloud offering allowing unprecedented time-to-market and cost savings for IT service providers. OrionVM’s wholesale cloud platform includes everything channel partners need to easily deploy enterprise-grade private, public and hybrid cloud solutions with full control - from a complete white-label rebrand, to billing integration and flexible account management. OrionVM’s hyperconverged allows clients to resell IaaS (compute, storage, networking) below AWS rates while still generating significant profit. OrionVM boasts a 50%+ reduction in datacenter footprint (power/hardware) as seen in traditional cloud technology.
“We are thrilled to compete and be recognized by the iAwards again this year,” said OrionVM Co-Founder and CEO Sheng Yeo. “We have seen strong demand for our innovative cloud offerings in Australia and beyond, which tells us that not only is our technology deserving of the ICT industry recognition, but it is meeting a real need for solution providers to deliver cutting edge cloud solutions – and make a real profit.”
The iAwards honours both companies at the cutting edge of technology innovation as well as leading professionals across the ICT industry. Most importantly, the iAwards recognises the achievements of home-grown Australian innovators. The key goal of the iAwards is to discover, recognise and reward the ICT innovations that have the potential to, or are already having, a positive impact on the community—at home, in the office and on a global scale. The iAwards also recognises the achievements made and value added by ICT professionals, CIOs and other innovators.
