Provide level 2 and 3 support


As a Network Administrator, you wil:

  • Provide Level 2/3 support to users and act as an escalation point for helpdesk for IT infrastructure
  • Resolve all helpdesk tickets in the timeframe defined by business and IT management
  • Escalate/Discuss tickets with your manager in timely manner if they cannot be resolved as per defined SLA to any reasons
  • Participate (as needed) in rotational weekly on-call support service
  • Support tickets resolved as per agreed SLA
  • Support tickets reported to Manger within agreed timeframes if consultation required
  • Configuration and maintenance of physical and virtual server environments
  • Manage, support and ensure operating viability of LAN, WLAN and WAN
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
  • Manage users and their access to data and services as per company's policies and HR advice
  • Management of all communication system including but not limited to email, internet, and phone systems.
  • Management of monitoring solution
  • All critical service monitored as per agreed framework
  • All checklists have been completed and record has been maintained
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
  • Update anti-virus definitions on servers and client
  • Deploy security patches for all platforms being used
  • Conduct security audits and penetration tests on agreed timeframes
  • Develop and manage virus outbreak policies and procedures
  • No. of virus outbreaks
  • No. of security breaches
  • Security patches have been applied pro-actively
  • No. of security patches applied re-actively as a result of an incident
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
  • Restore data as per user/business request
  • Perform test restores on regular intervals to validate backup/restore processes, data and backup media
  • Pro-actively research and keep track of upcoming technologies to overcome the technical challenges and meet the business requirements
  • Adapt to changes in IT industry and transform processes and solution to make best use of these changes

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience of managing VMware, Windows Servers, Active directory, File and print services and different storage system,
  • Experience in managing LAN, WAN, different security systems, antivirus, web traffic management, backup and DR solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, work unsupervised, and help users and IT staff to achieve their goals
