ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Associate Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team on small project or a segment of a larger project. Essentially, you will be working as a team member with the client or within the team to identify business requirements and develops the proposal. Subsequently leads a team in the initiating, planning, controlling, executing, and closing tasks of a project (or segment of a project) to produce the solution deliverable. In addition to that, you will be executing a wide range of process activities beginning with the request for proposal through development, test and final delivery.

The skills and responsibilities required include:
  • Basic knowledge of the PMI Process Groups; Initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.
  • Basic knowledge of current Project Management methodologies.
  • Knowledge in business matters, finance, planning, forecasting and personnel in order to manage team staff and business issues
  • Communication/Negotiation
  • Problem Solving: Recognises and articulates problems related to the project / segment of the project. Applies creativity and judgement in development of solutions or deliverable objectives.
  • Contribution/Leadership: Works on and understands the objectives related to the small project or segment of a larger project from a cost, schedule, technical and quality perspective. Decides own priorities and is able to
    recommend project tradeoffs. Understands department / project mission and applies this understanding in project activities. Displays proper use of PM tools to team members throughout the project life cycle.
  • Accountability: Accountable for meeting customer's requirements and obtain the results of the project segment, unit or deliverable assigned.
  • Identifies, estimates and presents cost, schedule, business and technical risk for project segment, unit or deliverable assigned.
  • Performs activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for their financial baseline and its impacts to the overall department and / or project costs and expenses.
