In preparation for the launch of Australia's own CIO Executive Council I travelled to the US on a fact-finding mission to review operations since the first council was established there 12 months ago. The founder and driver of the US Council is Mark Hall, who has created one of the most successful and inspirational peer-to-peer organizations in the world.
This week Computerworld introduces Con Colovos, the executive director of the newly-formed CIO Executive Council of Australia. The Council, which is a group of CIOs sharing their knowledge with peers, has been a huge success in the US. As a result it has been extended to Australia and is supported by publisher, IDG Communications. The first column, which will become a regular monthly feature in our Forum pages, outlines the Council's plans.
