Transcend has added a new rugged USB flash drive to its range of memory products. The Transcend JetFlash V70 is claimed to have anti-shock features, survive dust and splashes. For this, its exterior casing is made of rubber, and has a tethered cap holder that will help prevent losing the cap.

Fujitsu announced the launch of the 0-Watt-PC to its proGreen series. This energy-saving PC, announced earlier at this year's CeBIT, is now available for shipping in two versions: the Esprimo E7935 0-Watt (small form factor) and Esprimo P7935 0-Watt (microtower).
Samsung has announced the launch of its S1 Mini ultra-portable external hard drive with a maximum disk capacity of 250GB. The Samsung S1 Mini features a USB 1.8-inch hard drive which is the size of a credit card, thereby making it extremely pocketable and easy to carry around. Until now it was only available in 120GB and 160GB capacities, but the new release includes 200GB and 250GB models in addition to the new existing models.
Transcend has announced the availability of its "ultra-speed" Solid State Drive with model number SSD25D. It is a 2.5 inch drive (laptop hard disk form factor) that operates over the SATA II interface. It has 64MB of inbuilt DRAM cache. SSDs are generally more durable, reliable, and have lower power consumption than spinning magnetic hard drives.

Named 'Vid', the software is a free tool to make video calls using Logitech webcams. The description of the software says it works with all Logitech webcams -- it is not clear if the software is compatible with other webcams as well.

The Gigabyte X58 series motherboards feature the new QPI interface, 3 channel DDR3 support, Ultra Durable 3 technology and a range of overclocking features.
Apacer today launched its new Serial ATA Flash Drive (SAFD) 254 for industrial and embedded applications. According to a press release, the new product provides Apacer customers with the only industrial SSD solution in today's market that supports both high capacity requirement and wide operating temperature demand. With its NAND SLC memory, the SAFD 254 is capable of read/write speeds of up to 150/130 MB/sec. Apacer's SAFD 254 utilizes the global wear leveling technology, which manages the uneven "wear" on the sectors of a flash media memory by distributing the writes through whole sectors of the flash media to extend its life cycle.
