F5 aids content management
F5 Networks at NetWorld+Interop will expand its Big-IP line with four Internet Traffic and Content Management (iTCM) appliances, designed to provide load balancing and high availability for specific network devices. The Fire Guard appliance targets firewalls, the Big-IP LB works with Internet servers, Cache Control handles cache servers, and the eCommerce Controller manages SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption and centralizes SSL traffic management. The appliances will ship in the second quarter and will be priced at less than $10,000.
Agilent troubleshoots frame relay
Agilent Technologies will roll out Agilent Internet Advisor 11.4, a troubleshooting device for WAN communication protocols. Aimed at service providers and enterprises, the latest release adds software that automatically detects frame-relay network problems. Internet Advisor 11.4 is designed to help guarantee frame-relay SLAs (service-level agreements) and also allows managers to simulate different scenarios of SLAs. Available now, it is priced from $14,995.
