Australian Pharmaceutical Industries (API) will implement a 500-user, $6.5 million contract to improve data analysis and decision making support, adapt rapidly to desired process changes, integrate future acquisitions more easily, improve the management of inventory and debtors and simplify IT support.
The deal, with Intentia, will implement the vendor's Movex solution to cover warehousing, distribution and retail support as well as financial, management and executive reporting.
Movex will be the core application system across the API group and its Australia and New Zealand-wide distribution network. API is one of Australia's largest integrated healthcare services companies, with more than 2500 employees, and an expected annual turnover in excess of $2.5 billion.
"We believe implementing Movex will provide a competitive advantage through further improving API's already efficient operational model and by allowing API to develop other services to the benefit of our customers," Joel Williams, general manager, corporate development, systems & logistics at API, said.
