NEXTDC signs up international customer to S1 data centre

NEXTDC (ASX: NXT) has signed up an international customer, which can’t be publicly named, to its Sydney data centre, S1 for three years.
In a statement to the ASX, the data centre company said the customer had contracted for initial capacity of over 1 megawatt (MW) at S1. Its capacity may be expanded to over 1.4MW.
The contract is for three years with an option to extend it for a further three years.
A NEXTDC spokesperson said that it cannot divulge any additional information about the customer.
"We need to protect the identity of our customer, therefore we are unable to disclose any further information or make any further comment in relation to their identity or industry," said the spokesperson.
In the 12 months to June 2014, NEXTDC reported data centre services revenue of $30.4 million, up from $9 million for the 12 months prior. The company reported underlying EBITDA of $16.1 million, compared to $20 million for the 12 months ending 30 June 2013.
The company is projecting data centre services revenue will be between $51 million and $55 million in FY15.
