BOSTON (05/23/2000) - Tenor Networks Inc. this week announced TEMPo, an element management platform intended to enable service providers to create, provision and manage services in optical networks.
TEMPo features service shaping and monitoring capabilities, as well as integrated business interfaces, which let service providers tailor services to customer requirements, Tenor says.
TEMPo includes a graphical interface with which providers can define and provision services in minutes, Tenor says. TEMPo is a Telecommunication Management Network-compliant product supporting fault, configuration, accounting, performance and security management.
In addition to service definition and provisioning, the TEMPo GUI supports alarm management, performance management, service-level monitoring and reporting, Tenor says. The system also offers device management and is based on a distributed client-server architecture for scalability and redundancy.
TEMPo has application program interfaces that enable the addition of optical services and back-office applications such as service billing, monitoring and reporting. Additionally, this information can be used to assist in network planning and services rollout, Tenor says.
TEMPo is priced at $95,000 for 20 concurrent users and will be available in the second half of this year.
