SAN MATEO (05/25/2000) - Macromedia Inc. and Nokia Corp. on Thursday announced public beta availability of the Nokia WML Studio for Macromedia Dreamweaver, making visual Web authoring available to developers building applications for Nokia wireless devices via Wireless Application protocol.
Macromedia Dreamweaver is a visual Web authoring product for Web developers.
Nokia WML Studio enables authoring of WML (Wireless Markup Language) content for delivery to Nokia wireless devices.
WML Studio, a plug-in for Macromedia's Dreamweaver, simplifies the process of designing Web content for mobile devices such as cell phones, said Cherie Gary, spokesperson for Nokia.
"It's much quicker and easier to develop the WML content, so that you can leverage a whole new channel of distribution for your Web site," said Gary.
