Australian SME distributor MUA and Hewlett-Packard have announced a money-back satisfaction guarantee on integrated servers.
The deal is being offered to resellers on Windows NT, Windows 2000, or SCO UNIX-based servers and covers both the reliability and performance of the system.
As part of the offer, MUA will provide consultation to ensure that the system configuration meets the user requirements and specifics of the application.
Announcing the service last week, Paul McQuarrie, MUA's managing director, said "the satisfaction guarantee is designed for resellers who want to sell application solutions, but don't want to get caught with hardware performance problems".
"As far as we are aware, this is the first time an offer like this has been made available," he said. "A reseller can now come to us and say, 'This is what the application does, this is what the system is going to be used for and these are the user's expectation'. MUA will then take responsibility for the configuration, integration, performance and reliability of the server."
The satisfaction guarantee is available on servers from the Intel-based Hewlett-Packard range that are supplied and integrated via MUA.
