Net Mgmt. Vendors Enter $2.7B, 3-way Merger

FRAMINGHAM (02/28/2000) - Three network management companies have announced a $2.7 billion deal that will result in an end-to-end network management suite targeting Windows 2000-based electronic-business applications.

The primary merger will involve network performance and availability management software maker NetIQ Corp. in Santa Clara, Calif., and directory software maker Mission Critical Software Inc. in Houston.

In addition, Mission Critical will buy network and application-performance management software maker Ganymede Software Inc. in Morrisville, N.C.
