STOCKHOLM (04/19/2000) - Mobile phone vendor Nokia Corp. and Cap Gemini SA have agreed to jointly develop and deliver end-to-end mobile Internet systems to service operators, the companies announced today.
The Paris-based consulting and systems integration services provider will integrate Nokia's mobile Internet products, service delivery platforms and management offerings with third-party customer-care and billing systems, Nokia said in a statement.
Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will also jointly develop mobile Internet applications designed to run on Espoo, Finland-based Nokia's service delivery platforms, such as the WAP (wireless application protocol) Gateway and Artus MAX software products.
In addition, Nokia and Cap Gemini will develop applications designed for forthcoming GPRS (general packet radio service) and third-generation mobile networks, the statement said.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
