Windows 2000 banned from IBM production network

"IBM employees are not authorised to connect Windows 2000 directly or indirectly to the production network infrastructure," according to a memo sent to employees of the manufacturer.

According to IBM, Windows 2000 integrates elements that can "interfere with IP network services, which could harm the availability of our world wide network."

But IBM was one of the first manufacturers to support Windows 2000. Do what I say, not what I do?
