SAN MATEO (04/28/2000) - Novell Inc. has an important warning for users of BorderManager 3.5 who are thinking about installing Enhancement Pack 1. You shouldn't do it if you need SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) authentication to an HTTP Accelerator. An incompatibility will open up a security hole that could give outsiders access to the HTTP Accelerator without asking for authentication.
Microsoft Corp.: If you have a Windows NT 4.0 Server and you try to schedule a task to run on a backup domain controller from Internet Explorer Task Scheduler service, you may get this error: "The attempt to log on to the account associated with the task failed, therefore, the task did not run. The specific error is: 0x80070569: Logon failure: The user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer." As a work-around, go to User Manager for Domains. Give the Administrators local group the Advanced User right to "Log on as a batch job."iPlanet claims that when you upgrade to Web Server Enterprise Edition 4.1, the encryption settings in magnus.conf may not be correctly carried over to the Encryption Preferences page. The company says to verify, go to the Encryption Preferences page, pick which ciphers you want, and click Save and Apply.
