BOSTON (03/29/2000) - Compaq Computer Corp. today rolled out a package of software and services for use with its iPaq Internet device aimed at small and medium-sized businesses.
The package includes three free months of Compaq.net for Business service, free online training for Windows 2000 use, access to MyWorkspace.compaq.com, Microsoft Office 2000 Small Business Edition and Norton Anti-Virus 2000.
Pricing starts at US$1,075 for a package including an iPaq configuration with a monitor, CD-ROM drive, 56K-bps (bits per second) v.90 USB (universal serial port) modem, an Intel Corp. Celeron 500MHz processor, 64M bytes of SDRAM and a 4.3G-byte hard drive.
