LONDON (01/28/2000) - U.K.-based Superscape VR PLC has applied for a patent for its new Internet three-dimensional visualization technology, e-Visualizer (SeV), the company announced today.
The SeV technology allows for interactive 3D presentations over the Internet and is aimed at the e-commerce market, Superscape said in a statement.
The technology works with standard Web content authoring tools and media technologies, enabling users to add 3D objects and animations to existing Web pages, Superscape said.
With SeV, visitors to a Web site using the technology would not have to download a special 3D browser or plug-in in order to see the 3D images, which would download instantly.
Furthermore, the size of an SeV file is often smaller than that of the same image presented in any other photographic file format, Superscape said.
The company is already in negations with potential corporate customers worldwide, Superscape said.
Superscape, in Hampshire, England, can be reached at http://www.superscape.com.
