MCI WorldCom has expanded its high-speed data service for multinational companies to another 25 cities in Europe and Asia.
The expansion announced yesterday brings to 44 the number of cities worldwide that offer the company's Managed International Private Line service, which MCI WorldCom calls International Business Link. By year's end, MCI WorldCom intends to offer the high-speed service in some 100 cities.
The service allows end-to-end dedicated high-speed voice and data for companies that need speeds from 64Kbps to OC-3 with local support, MCI WorldCom said.
The company said that it can offer short installation lead times, lower prices, network monitoring and management, and bills in a company's preferred language and currency. MCI WorldCom is also offering service guarantees to new customers, including guaranteed network availability for those using MCI WorldCom access facilities.
