WASHINGTON (06/13/2000) - The U.S. House of Representatives Tuesday postponed a vote on a digital signature bill that has been closely monitored by information technology industry groups.
The House has rescheduled the vote on the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN) to take place Wednesday morning.
The bill had been expected to come up on the House floor Tuesday, but members spent the day debating an appropriations bill for the U.S. Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education.
