Edge receiver Lawler Davidson has upped the ante on debtors of the embattled company Edge, employing debt collection agency Hunter and Stewart to issue threatening letters.
One reseller who contacted ARN reports the letter threatened legal action unless outstanding debts were paid in full within seven days.
"I guess this aggressive position is easier for the receiver than having to undergo the burden of acting in a decent and co-operative manner," commented the reseller who asked not to be named.
"Absent from the correspondence was any explanation of where the stock that I have already sent back under warranty was and when it would be returned. For me alone the stock that I own and that Edge are in possession of totals more than $3500."
Meanwhile, Fujitsu Australia Limited (FAL) has responded to Edge's demise by offering support to all Edge customers who bought its hard disk drives from Edge.
"This offer is in support of hard disk drives sold by FAL through its appointed Australian channel only. Details on how to contact Fujitsu in relation to hard disk drive support are available on our web site at www.fujitsu.com.au," said Brian Dullaghan, product marketing manager at Fujitsu Peripheral Products Group.
