SAN MATEO (07/06/2000) - Sprint Corp. on Thursday unveiled a new corporate application added to its PCS Wireless Web for Business initiative.
Teaming up with Siebel Systems Inc., Sprint will let corporate customers access Siebel's Sales and Field Services applications via minibrowsers on Sprint's Internet-ready phones.
Sprint and Siebel, which is headquarted in San Mateo, California, touted their alliance as a way to let corporate users wirelessly track sales accounts, make product inquires, and plot customer contact information.
Kansas City, Missouri-based Sprint also has been working with IBM Corp. on wireless enterprise applications.
