In a move that signals a serious approach to channel marketing, SME enterprise software vendor Epicor Software has announced the appointment of Roslyn Muir as partner manager.
Muir told ARN that she was feeling very positive about her new position and was interested in implementing programs which would give channel partners the opportunity to grow their business.
"I've inherited a stable and mature channel the partners have been with Epicore for a period of time now," Muir said.
While Muir is hinting at channel expansion she was quick to point out that she would maintain Epicore's focus on partners working in either a specific vertical market, or region.
"This may mean that we help channel partners to grow into related verticals, but we are well aware of their areas of expertise, and we do not want to encourage changes that will ultimately cause channel conflict."In an effort to rally regional partners Muir plans to travel to regional centres, and provide regional resellers with comprehensive support services.
At this stage however Muir is taking some time to, "come to terms with the existing partners and understand where they all fit."Muir brings to the position extensive experience in the channel, and over 14 years in IT working for companies such as Praxa.
