Novell media sources have revealed that the networking vendor and its long-time distributors Sealcorp are set to part ways.
Ashley Wearne, Novell director of sales, described Sealcorp as a good supporter of Novell, but went on to point our that it had become clear that the companies were developing in different directions.
"The time seemed right to end the relationship so that each of us could focus on areas of the business that will deliver future revenue growth," Wearne said.
While Novell media sources described the split as a mutual decision, Sealcorp sources have yet to comment.
According to a press comment released today, the distribution arrangement will be wrapped up on September 27.
At this stage, no further changes to Novell's distributor line up have been suggested. Company sources have confirmed that it will continue its relationship with Tech Pacific and Express Data.
