Tech Pacific secures Senacon distributorship

Tech Pacific added another feather to its distribution cap with the announcement yesterday that it would be handling the distribution for Australian-based, low-end, e-business software vendor Senacon.

Senacon has a package of products called the Senacon Suite which is designed for environments of 5-20 users, but it copes with user numbers up to about 100, according to the company.

"The Suite is a package of low-priced, shrink-wrapped finance, contact management, sales and marketing and e-commerce applications for small- and medium-enterprises," Chris Percival, founder and CEO of Senacon said.

"They address an immediate need of this market for simple-to-use, low-cost software that doesn't require a degree in IT programming. Retail outlets are the ideal medium to present this range to the general public. Tech Pacific will allow us to reach this market in the most efficient and effective manner possible," he added.

A Tech Pacific director, David Henderson, said: "We're confident the Senacon Suite will be a fast-turnover, low-maintenance product on resellers' shelves.

We hope to make the flow from vendor to end-user a seamless, painless and profitable procedure for all involved."The PC- or Mac-compatible Senacon suite comes in four levels, each of which adds an extra application with each step up. The four different boxes being distributed are: Senacon Alliance (basic contact management), Senacon Merchant (which adds sales and marketing management), Senacon Ledger Plus (adds accounting and financial) and Senacon WebMerchant (adds Web site building and e-commerce to all the previous applications).

Recommended retail prices for single user licences range from $215 for the Alliance suite up to $545 (plus a monthly hosting fee) for the WebMerchant suite.
