Networking and data storage distributor Lan1 is hosting a technical roadshow across Australia to educate resellers about RAID and other storage developments.
Coming off successful roadshows in Sydney and Melbourne in the past, the distributor is now extending its reach to other capital cities. The event is backed by storage manufacturers Adaptec (for RAID) and Fujitsu (for disk drives), however Glenn Jones, marketing manager of Lan1, claims the roadshow is geared around training rather than a "hard sell".
Jones argues the opportunity the roadshow presents for network and enterprise resellers is the ability to get some training in an area where skills are at a premium. Resellers will be briefed on the latest technology developments with the Ultra 160 standard and learn how Adaptec's recent acquisition of DPT will affect the channel, Jones added.
In conjunction with the roadshow, Lan1 will also be offering training for Quantum's network attached device Snap Server, to it's Snap Access reseller partners in Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane. Jones claims resellers in technical or MIS roles will benefit most from these sessions.
The roadshow kicks off today in Perth followed by Adelaide on the 9th, Melbourne the 10th, Sydney the 15th and Brisbane on the 17th.
