New B2B Transaction Standard

Bowstreet, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Oracle and Sun Microsystems have joined forces to create a standard for e-business transactions across the Internet.

The new XAML (Transaction Authority Markup Language) standard will guarantee multivendor transactional integrity on the Internet and is geared toward B2B electronic marketplace infrastructure that doesn't involve just one Web service.

If any day-to-day Web transactions fail, XAML allows the company to interact automatically with other Web services to cancel or find alternative options.
