Intuit, maker of Quicken and QuickBooks accounting and financial management software, Monday asked small businesses to turn to Intuit's newly announced Site Solutions Web site creation and management service.
QuickBooks Site Solutions service allows customers to enter company information into one of about 400 template designs in 70 industries, the company said in a statement. The service includes Web hosting with 20M bytes of storage space, search engine registration and domain name registration. For an additional fee, subscribers can download industry-specific photography.
The service will cost $US19.95 per month after the three-month free trial period. QuickBooks 2000 customers are entitled to a six-month free trial.
Several companies offer free or inexpensive site creation and hosting services, including Lycos Inc.'s Tripod service and Yahoo Inc.'s GeoCities.
