Turnover Tolls

Employee turnover is costing the high-tech industry about $44 billion annually, according to research from management consulting firm Sibson & Co. in Lexington, Mass. The company, which pegs the turnover rate at 25%, based its estimate on the number of systems analysts, programmers and computer engineers who have left their jobs and on the amount of money employers have spent replacing them.
