Linux-Mandrake Ported to SPARC, UltraSPARC

Linux-Mandrake, a MandrakeSoft Inc. operating system, was recently ported to Sun Microsystems Inc.'s SPARC and UltraSPARC platforms. Dubbed Corporate Server 1.0, the port is based on Linux-Mandrake 7.1 and contains all of the necessary tools for setting up main server functions. In addition, wizards offer guidance on configuring email, Web servers, firewalls, and routers.

Linux-Mandrake is based on open source development and is available in over 40 languages. It features a choice of preconfigured graphical interfaces, including KDE and GNOME. Users also have access to over 1,700 applications, such as Netscape Communicator, the StarOffice suite, and the Apache Web server.
