Telstra's chief financial officer resigned today after seven years in the job.
Finance and administration group managing director Paul Rizzo has left to take up the position as director of Melbourne Business School, bringing to a close a seven-year relationship with Telstra.
The telco's CEO Ziggy Switkowski said a search for a successor is already under way, adding that Rizzo will continue with the company until the new year to assist with the transition.
Rizzo will also continue in his current roles as chairman of Foxtel and director of IBM GSA.
Switkowski said Rizzo leaves with Telstra's goodwill and was a major contributor to the success of the company's public share offerings and capital restructuring.
