Sausage Software and Unisys have signed a non-exclusive, global partnership for the offering of complementary services in the eBusiness space.
The agreement gives Sausage an entry point into the global market and the opportunity to offer back-end systems integration to its customers, while Unisys is able to offer interactive development services to its customers on a global basis.
John Glenn, principle of strategic development at Sausage Group, believes there is a level of synergy between the two companies and is confident the alliance will fill in any gaps in each company's offerings.
"We both have gaps -- Sausage has a gap in back-end systems integration while Unisys has a gap in customer engagement," he said.
The two companies will focus on the transport and education verticals, ASP offerings and worldwide support for interactive development under the alliance. Although both companies already lay claim to customers in these markets, Glenn does not believe they compete for customers.
"We are not competing for market share as I feel that there is little overlap," he said. "We both have different offerings in the market."
There is no exchange of stock or equity involved in the alliance, and the financial outcomes and revenues depend on each individual deal where both partners are involved.
