Jetstream Communications Inc. is wrapping up its voice gateway gear and its programs to support service providers into a new program it calls Jetstream Formation.
The initiative includes Jetstream hardware and software as well as installation services, technical support, training and even marketing advice on selling broadband services. The push is intended to encourage service providers to sell voice and data over broadband access links such as DSL.
As part of the initiative, Jetstream also is announcing new and upgraded hardware and software.
The company has upgraded its CPX-1000 voice gateway so service providers can swap out and add cards and make software upgrades while the box is running.
It is introducing a new US$800 customer-site device called IAD 402 that connects home-office LANs and phones to an asymmetric DSL line. The device supports up to four phones and a 10/100M bit/sec Ethernet port for data devices.
Jetstream is upgrading its JetVision management software to add more fault management features as well as support for bulk upgrading of customer-site equipment and support for the new hot-swap features of the CPX-1000.
The company is also introducing JetCare, a service package that is part of Jetstream Formation. JetCare includes installation of CPX-1000 gateways in service provider networks, around-the-clock technical support on the phone and online, service programs, training and documentation.
It has also added to its JetStart program that encourages service providers to sell voice and data services over broadband links. JetStart now offers a business development workshop to spell out how to make money off of voice over broadband services.www.jetstream.com.
