Compaq has appointed former Australian enterprise solutions and services group general manager Paul Brandling as managing director of Compaq South Pacific.
This announcement follows the resignation of Ian Penman on October 13. He was the founder of Compaq business in Australia in 1985.
Brandling said in a release that he would focus on three main areas in his new role; to "drive services and people as a competitive differentiator, leverage Compaq's innovative technology with quality execution to optimise the customer experience and continue to enhance partnerships to offer customers the best possible solutions".
Brandling has been with Compaq for nearly eight years and has 14 years experience in the IT industry across a broad range of market segments.
