NETg offers technology-based (including online) training courses. It has a portfolio of some 2000 hours of learning content in several languages, covering professional IT, desktop and personal development. NETg's Skill Builder courses are designed to 'build skills' through pre-assessments, simulations and considered use of multimedia.
The courses are modular in structure, with each course made up of several NETg Learning Objects (NLOs). Each NLO teaches a specific skill and can exist independently from the course enabling customers to 'mix and match' objects from different courses to create a hybrid course to meet the learner's needs. This structure also facilitates just-in-time learning, giving learners the ability to access one object and learn one skill when needed. This is a hands-on course covering techniques to reliably move from user requirements to coding. We show how to bridge the gap from requirements to coding. This course, through a combination of lectures and workshops, will give practical techniques and skills for developing solid applications.
The first two days are a mixture of lecture and workshop, culminating in a half-day case study. The third day is optional and concentrates on the gap, taking the pristine requirements model of the first two days and looking at the changes that occur when you actually implement them in an object-oriented language (using Java as the example language).
