Corel Corp. officials showed off a preview version of the company's planned WordPerfect Office 2002 application suite at the Comdex show last week. They boasted that the upgrade is speedier than the current version and that it will offer quick access to the Pocket Oxford Dictionary. The new version, expected to be delivered during the first half of 2001, includes the WordPerfect 10 word processor; Quatro Pro 10 spreadsheet; Corel Presentation 10; and CorelCentral 10, a personal information manager. These four applications are more tightly integrated than in previous versions, according to company officials. The 2002 version's increased speed and performance is expected to help users increase productivity. Improved compatibility in the package is intended to better enable collaboration.
