Computerworld in partnership with sponsor Marconi is now seeking nominations for the 2001 IT&T Fellows Awards.
The Fellows, to be presented in March, will be awarded to IT&T leaders who have excelled in their enterprise information technology careers.
Recipients will have demonstrated the vision, leadership, management talent and tenacity needed to guide their organisations to achieving business-critical technology goals.
The impressive roll-call of past winners include:
* Geoff Deacon, who was recognised in 1995 for his work on the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority's $40 million Drives system which put online all licensing of drivers and registration of vehicles in NSW;* Dr John Nearhos, who was recognised for his work in 1996 when general manager of the professional review division at the Health Insurance Commission. A pioneer of data mining in Australia, he helped save HIC millions of dollars.
* Tony Whittingham (1995), the then state manager for IT at NSW TAFE, was acclaimed for his work in advancing IT education in Australia.
