Internet Cable Fixed Today

Telstra's damaged Internet cable off the coast of Singapore is expected to be fully restored today.

Last week's damage to the SEA-ME-WE cable created chaos for Internet users when Telstra lost 50 per cent of its network capacity.

Telstra spokesman Stuart Gray said the cable break was located 63 km south of Singapore and was probably caused by a ship.

He said the damaged cable has been replaced and Telstra expects to be operating normally today.
