Stationer Inks Alliance for Online Sales

With its creation of one of Australia's largest online office supply sites, retail software provider PEG Technology expects to generate more than $20 million in sales within three years.

PEG developed the online marketplace which will supply more than 5000 office products for a new alliance between office retailer WC Penfold and IT products and services provider Corporate Express.

WC Penfold managing director Hayden Hills said the site will add $20 million in three years to the company's sales which last year totalled $108 million.

While the site's primary focus is B2B it also offers B2C which is supported by a sales team and call centre.

Hills said more staff have been employed to manage customer relationships and employee numbers will increase further as traffic to the site grows.

PEG managing director Bruce Mackenzie said the technologically advanced site lets customers order and transact with only three clicks of the mouse. The site has a seamless integration that enables it to transact with WC Penfold's existing software in real time.

The site has encryption certification that covers order fulfilment, sales and customer information, credit card payment authorisation and a virtual shopping cart.

Corporate Express Australia already has a B2B ordering site with transactions of more than $120 million in sales this year.
