Repair work on Telstra's fibre-optic cable has been delayed as a result of rough seas off the coast of Singapore.
Telstra expected repairs to be completed yesterday. However spokesman Stuart Gray said it has been delayed until the end of the week, depending on weather conditions.
He said the cable repair ship is waiting for calmer weather before continuing repairs.
Damage to the SEA-ME-WE 3 cable last week caused a 50 per cent loss of network capacity resulting in disruptions to Internet services across Australia.
