Cable Will Outpace DSL in the Future

Cable will continue to outpace DSL as the preferred residential broadband method for the foreseeable future, according to research by DataQuest Inc.. The number of cable modems subscribers will reach 3.3 million this year, climbing to 14 million by 2004. In contrast, DSL services will reach 1.4 million this year, but number only 9.8 million by 2004.
