E-mail virus detected

A new computer virus hit Australian shores on Friday, which is spreading as an e-mail attachment called Creative.Exe.

Virus protection provider Trend Micro said the virus is a portable executable Trojan that is spamming itself using Microsoft Outlook.

It will also rename all Zip and jpg files on an infected computer.

The e-mail arrives with a message reading, Subject: A great shockwave flash movie; the file size is 36,864 bytes.
