Western Australia-based resources company Woodside Energy has signed a three-year $4 million contract for application delivery and support services.
The contract was won by LogicaCMG, which has managed Woodside's applications for the past two years, and will be managed out of the provider's Perth office.
The contract includes service management, application delivery and enhancement, Web page development and management, application support, database administration and standard admin support.
LogicaCMG's CEO Dr Andrew Tindell said that the Woodside account is the key to the provider's further expansion of its Western Australian operation. He said that by "meeting and exceeding our service delivery targets for Woodside, we are hoping to convince other North West Shelf operators on the value of the strategy".
LogicaCMG also announced revenue results in Australia for the first half of the year.
Revenue increased by around 1 per cent, and the operating profit margin increased from 5 per cent to 7 per cent compared to the same period last year and overall orders have risen by 21 per cent.
The strong Australian performance was led by the services division, which achieved a 35 per cent growth in orders and accounted for half of local revenue, according to the company.
