WA dept signs $11m infrastructure outsourcing deal

The Western Australian Department of Community Development has entered an $11 million contract, outsourcing its entire IT infrastructure as part of the WA government's Strategic Partnering in Resourcing (SPRINT) IT initiative.

The department has contracted the work to Kaz Group for three years with the option to extend the contract for another two. Kaz will manage the department's 1600 desktops and notebooks at it offices across WA and also provide support for additional IT projects.

In February Kaz began the phased management of the department’s infrastructure and relocating its servers to Kaz's Perth data centre.
