Telecom New Zealand has appointed Jonathon Stretch as chief executive of its Australian operation AAPT.
Stretch is currently vice president of AAPT's AT&T business services division. Based in Paris in that role, he is responsible for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Stretch, who has both telecommunications and information technology industry experience, worked in several positions at IBM Australia before joining AT&T in 1999.
Stretch takes up his new role in August.
Telecom New Zealand's chief financial officer Marko Bogoievski has been running AAPT as the company's interim head. Bogoievski replaced his predecessor chief operating officer David Bedford who left the company earlier this year.
