CSC teams up on financials platform

Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and software developer NTBS have launched a strategic alliance to deliver what they claim is "the first totally new end-to-end banking and financial services platform to be launched in 20 years".

The alliance combines CSC's technology and business process outsourcing expertise with NTBS software, officials said.

Based on the Microsoft Windows platform the solution is fully scalable. CSC sales vice president Rick Eager said the solution breaks down many of the cost and capital barriers which have limited financial services companies from deploying new technology.

"This new offering will provide greater flexibility in allowing financial services firms access to technology and administration processes on a variable cost basis," he says.

Stephen Balme from NTBS said the platform eliminates infrastructure issues, cuts time to market and reduces costs.

"It will help banks and other financial institutions save money as they introduce new financial products and identifies and support customer transactions," he said.

"The technology has a workflow engine which ensures accuracy and can be installed as a complete package or in modules."
